Tokenomics - GALA - Token Emission and Halving

This diagram compares the current and original emission systems for the GALA token.

On the left is the new system, which uses a gradual exponential decay in emission. On the right is the old system, which uses halving events to periodically halve the number of tokens emitted.

The benefits of the new system is that it is more predictable. By contrast, halving events are more likely to cause market volatility, liquidity issues, etc.
