League Progression for Racing Games

Catalin Ichim

About

This system highlights an engaging car racing game where players begin each race with their chances of winning or losing calculated by a dynamic feedback loop. This loop takes into account key player attributes—such as the number of races completed, car upgrades, and unlocked cars—to determine success rates.

After each race, the system checks if the player should advance to a higher league, raising the game's difficulty level. Players earn money after every race, which they can use to buy upgrades for existing cars or unlock entirely new ones. Each of these purchases helps lower the difficulty calculated by the feedback loop, giving players a strategic edge.

Once familiar with the system, you can fine-tune the game's balance by adjusting rewards, tweaking the number of available cars and upgrades, or even modifying the feedback loop itself to create the perfect racing experience!
