Team Management features come with our Pro pricing plan. Once you subscribe to this Premium plan, you’ll be able to add team members to your account.

Inviting New Members

By default, the Pro Subscription includes one seat in a team, but you can easily invite new team members by using the dedicated button on the team management menu. To invite your teammates, follow this short guide:

Go to “Team Members” tab, under your profile dropdown;
Click the “Invite Member” button displayed next to the team member counter;
Type the email address of your teammate in the “New members” field;
💡You can add multiple users at the same time by typing multiple email addresses, separated by an “Enter”;
Notice the subscription price recalculation, based on the number of new invited team members;
Press Continue;

The Pro subscription plan is displayed per user, as such, each new seat added to the team will increase the subscription price based on the fixed value displayed on our pricing page.

All the premium features included in the team’s owner subscription, including custom features, will also be shared with the all team members.

Team Members & Events

Teams in Machinations are designed to leverage and streamline collaborative work by allowing you to edit nodes on canvas, adjust parameters, and, most importantly, simulate scenarios all in real time. To ensure that each invited team member can run predictions and interactive plays on your shared project, each new seat purchased includes a new batch of Machinations Events.

The Pro subscription package includes 4 million Machinations Events each month. For example, if you invite another 2 colleagues to your team, 8 million new monthly Events will be added to your account.

As a result, the entire team could use up to 12 million events monthly! 📈

🤝The Machinations Events included in your team are placed into a shared pool, meaning that there is no individual usage limit per team member. Each editor in the team should feel free to use events until they can guarantee accurate results for their Monte Carlo simulations. Read more about accuracy on our dedicated documentation page.

Anytime, your team consumes all the monthly Machinations events included in the subscription, you could simply add more Top-up events to your plan. Similar to the monthly ones, the extra events can also be used by any team member.

Team Roles

To aid in your team management process, we introduced three types of team roles:

Owner: (Only one per team) – This is the account used to create and manage the Pro subscription and is responsible for inviting other team members. Here are all the possible actions an Owner can perform in a team:
- Adjust Subscription and Billing details;
- Invite new members;
- Remove and Suspend existing members;
- Change the Roles of existing members;
- Edit & Share team diagrams;
Admin: (Multiple per team) – Admins are the “Helping hand” of a team Owner. The role of an admin focuses on the management of other teammates, and they can perform the following actions:
- Invite new members;
- Remove and Suspend existing members;
- Change the Roles of existing members;
- Edit & Share team diagrams;
Editors: (Multiple per team) – The majority of the team will be comprised of Editor members. They are tasked with creating, managing, adjusting, and simulating the diagrams in your team folder. To ensure a streamlined team management, this role is restricted to performing only these actions:
- Invite new members;
- Edit & Share team diagrams;

Team Folder

This is the place where all your Team diagrams are saved. Access this in the Menu > Open > Team folder.

When you add Members to your Team, they will automatically have access to the Team folder, and all their diagrams will, by default, be saved in this folder.

Private vs Team diagrams

If you’re part of a team, all your diagrams are automatically saved in the Team folder. Should you want to work on a private diagram, change its Sharing status before making changes to it. Learn more about diagram privacy on our Collaborative Editing page.

Collaborative Editing

Team Tags

Team tag is an efficient method of searching and filtering projects for larger teams. Any tags created for our diagrams are also available for your team members. Make sure that you are using relevant tags for related diagrams to keep your team folder tidy and ordered.
