Can you introduce yourself and share a bit about your background?

Hello, I’m Deniz. I’ve been working as a game designer in the mobile gaming industry for about 3 years now. Towards the end of 2023, I founded my own game studio with investments I received, and together with my team, we produce mobile games and VR/AR games that assist in physiotherapy.

Related to your featured diagram, can you briefly describe it? What was the goal behind it?

As for my diagram, instead of designing an in-game ecosystem, I aimed to simulate the operations of my newly established company. I wanted to create a simulation where I could analyze the operations of the company, including the required team sizes, team expenses, overall company expenses, and the average revenue generated from these operations on a monthly and yearly basis.

What specific features of Machinations did you find most useful during the design process?

The most useful feature of Machinations for me was the freedom it provided to create simulations that would give the most accurate and organized results, regardless of the system I wanted to create, thanks to its simple interface and underlying mathematical framework.

What advice would you give to someone who is new to using Machinations?

My advice to someone new to using Machinations would be to try everything that comes to mind. By experimenting, you’ll have a much better chance of learning Machinations’ features effectively and realizing that there are no limits to what you can achieve within its depths.
