Copy of Wager Game (Solitaire Cash)

Bogdan Florea

About

This diagram models the currency flow for a wager game, where the player spends a currency to enter matches against other players, and is rewarded with that same currency if they score highly. Thus, better players will be able to pay for further matches with the spoils of previous matches.

In this case, the model simulates a wager game such as Solitaire Cash, which rewards players who come first, second or third. It also includes a levelling system which is a secondary source of currency.

The goal of the model is to explore how many games the player might be able to play before they run out of the core currency (Gems in this case). The Monte Carlo method is used (via Predictions) to determine the range of possible outcomes in this regard: some players will get more lucky, scoring highly more often and thus resupplying themselves on Gems; other players will get unlucky, losing often and running out of Gems quickly.
