Chief Commercial Officer

We’re looking for an experienced professional who is able to build a successful go-to-market strategy for Machinations while building a strong partnership with sales and marketing departments.

Experience and expertise

  • Track record as the Commercial Director/Chief Revenue Officer in an (ideally venture-backed) B2B SaaS company
  • Experience developing and delivering the Go To Market strategy for a SaaS company encompassing proposition development, messaging, marketing strategy, target customer identification, pricing, and management of the sales team via the Sales Director 
  • Deep understanding of SaaS and ability to critique and input into the product strategy to ensure it is market ready
  • Some experience in self-service sales through marketing to developer communities desirable
  • Track record in consistently delivering against ARR targets

  • Strategic thinker who is a customer focussed and a strong communicator (written and verbal)
  • Naturally inquisitive, able to challenge company strategy and work with the rest of the leadership team to raise the bar on decision-making, improve execution capability and ensure continuous focus on the customer
  • Results focussed
  • Entrepreneurial and enthused by the Machinations strategy and opportunity to create a $b+ company
  • Used to the start-up/scale-up environment with its challenges and opportunities
  • Able to work in a founder-led business and to invest in and develop relationships across the leadership team 
  • Willing to travel frequently to Romania to invest in that relationship and to participate in person in strategic decision-making and strategy-setting

You will

  • Build the go-to-market strategy for Machinations and challenge and iterate it periodically
  • Build relationships with the rest of the leadership team to develop consensus and collaboration
  • Oversee sales, marketing, PR/comms, and pricing and provide direct input into the product roadmap to enhance product-market fit
  • Be a member of the Machinations leadership team and work with that team to develop its strategy, reporting, and performance 
  • Have a return on investment, a deeply commercial mindset
  • Either has direct video games market experience or be prepared to roll your sleeves up and learn quickly in order to enhance your ability to lead the go-to-market functions of the business successfully
